This site, now in its 15th season, is a labour of love and fun from one of Ottawa's most avid time trialists and number crunchers. It adheres to and is permitted by the laws of Canada, promotes the objectives of every bicycle club whose results are shown, and is donated free of charge by myself for your enjoyment and usage. If you would like results from series you ride in to be shown here, give me (celia@drmath.ca) a shout!

Tonight was a fine night for a time trial - warm (about 25°C), sunny and with relatively light, 11-14km/h, winds from the SouthWest. Eleven women came out to ride tonight, and all but one posted a season-series best tonight. Congratulations to Tamsin Douglas for having the biggest series-season improvement with her 32.77% cube-speed increase from her June 5 ride. Also exciting are the large neck-in-neck 8.16% and 8.15% cube speed improvements for our oldest and youngest riders tonight. Jean Cooper is within a few weeks of her 75th birthday, and it is remarkable that year after year, for close to 3 decades, her yearly bests have kept quite constant! On the other end of the age scale, Faye Kofoed, turned 13 just before the start of the season and is new at riding time trials. Tonight she was only 14 seconds shy of the 30km/h average speed mark! We will all cheer her on in the coming weeks to see her reach this level.
